The Littlest Angel, A Sad Tale…

There is a little angel that lives across the street. I’ve known and loved this little girl since the moment she was born (and have also had the great joy of photographing her along the way). All the neighborhood girls, especially mine, flock to her house to play with her on a daily basis. She is definitely a shining light in the neighborhood. Her mom and dad are also pretty darned special. While our time as friends has been brief, it’s been especially wonderful. Her mom is someone who can make you feel all warm and mushy inside just in the way she says hello. In the words of Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables), she is a kindred spirit. And alas comes the sad part of the tale. As all military folks eventually do, they are moving. In a couple short weeks, no less. So it is with heavy heart that I write this – a final farewell to this beautiful family who will be missed more than words can express. Missed, but never forgotten.

Love to you, my very special friends.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Rain and photo sessions just don’t go hand in hand so well! I worked with a neat family tonight, and unfortunately it drizzled the entire time. I had to rush home and edit this picture, because I wanted to make sure we got some great shots. I absolutely adore this picture, and I hope they do too!

I had a chance to do a couple more quick edits this morning so I wanted to come back and add them!

A few recent favorites.

The past week I worked with two wonderful families, here on vacation. I had so much fun with them and can’t wait to go and edit all the great images we got! For now, just a few quick snaps!

Attack of the one year olds!

My last three sessions have, surprisingly, included one year olds! Little Miss C actually shared a birthday with me, so how could I resist when her mom asked if I’d do the shoot on her birthday! They traveled all the way from England and are currently on an excursion across the United States! This one was a lover of sand. She ate sand practically the entire session! She really seemed to enjoy it – maybe it helped soothe the teeth she was cutting, who knows?!

What are little boys made of?

Well I like to think mine is also made of sugar and spice and everything nice (although sure, sometimes snips and snails, and puppy dogs tails is more fitting his behavior, lol!) Here’s a rare glimpse into my little guy. He’s becoming more and more friendly with the camera, so I look forward to bringing more of his sweet little face around these parts.
