Oahu Photographer
I started this blog initially for my photography business, but after much soul searching, I realized that my heart just wasn't into having a business. This has brought me back to my original passion of learning photography for the sake of my family and beautiful children (if I do say so myself). And now I am really happy to be getting back to that. I hope to share many pictures of our family's journey here.
We’ll miss it so! The weather has not been nice enough to hit the beach by our house lately. Big red signs posted that the beach and water are closed because of the waves. They’ve been particularly wild this year. We really want to enjoy this luxury while we still have it, since we’ll be gone in two months. Sometimes you don’t know what you have until it’s gone!

Wanted to try vintage processing on this one. Her sweet bathing suit reminds me of something old fashioned.

Over the years, it’s changed from a love of clothing for myself, to a love of clothing for my daughter. While my daughter is always well dressed, sometimes I feel like I’m in rags, heh! A while back I did some photos for a lovely clothing designer. Just recently, we were so happy to again sample the fruits of her new line. It was love at first site for Lauren. Of course the rule is that she can’t actually “wear” them until we’re done with photographing them, so she’s happy that task is complete! This time, even Tiernan got to do a little modeling. He was so willing too. And payment was a mere five M&Ms.

Okay, so we homeschool, but we normally have lots of classes to keep us busy in the mornings. This week all swim classes were cancelled, so we had extra time on our hands, and the kids decided they wanted to go to the beach again. This morning made three in a row. It’s the beach a couple minutes’ walk from our house, and oddly we don’t go there very often. Except for this week, of course. Trying to take/post more pictures of my little guy since I usually get more shots of his sister. This morning was cloudy and rainy. I came prepared – I had a plastic garbage bag tucked away in case I needed to put my camera bag in it. Sure enough, I needed it. We got caught in a good downpour on the way home. It’s all about protecting the camera, lol!
From yesterday – a new lensbaby I’m still trying to get the hang of. A fun and creative toy but challenging for me because it’s manual focus.

And then from this morning. If we keep this up I’m going to have so many pictures I won’t know what to do with them!

He’s always trying to be like mommy and wink. His version of winking.
